these fools

these fools

every so often a pair of geniuses comes as a blip on my radar to pay heed to. these lunatics decided to cut down a famous sycamore tree at Hadrian's wall one day, for internet fame. so, isn't it safe to say it was the fault of the internet as well? possibly. the Sycamore gap tree  being the name of said tree. anyways these IRL Beavis + Butthead's of the UK thought they'd get internet famous or go viral or something. I could only imagine what their conversation must've been:  DAVE: Right. You ready? MARK: Yeah. DAVE: We're cutting down the tree. MARK: The massive famous tree? DAVE: The massive famous tree. MARK: Dude… DAVE: What? MARK: We're gonna go viral. DAVE: WE'RE GONNA GO VIRAL. MARK: Mate, imagine the views. DAVE: Ten million views. MARK: Twenty million. DAVE: One hundred million. MARK: A billion. DAVE: That's too many. MARK: Nah, mate. The internet's massive. DAVE: True. MARK: You reckon people will be an...

communications disruptions "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." - Sun Tzu , The Art of War ^^^^ this is where Bruce Lee came up with that quote 'the art of fighting without fighting ' in Enter the Dragon 🐉. and if you never seen that, go watch that shit right now.  and nowadays, an enemy can't fight you if you're fighting one another. we being the enemy of our mutual enemy: big gov, big tech, big pharma, big everything. its good they have that bigness b/c its an identifying marker to illustrate themselves as being exactly what they pretend they're not: your enemy. and enemies never want you to know their threat profile. trust + believe me I'm a secret agent.  yet the primary tactic any enemy force almost always employs isn't ginormous bombs or bullshit, it's communication disruption. how can you organize, marshall, and plan w/o it? we spend insane time pretending to be communicating with people, when we'...

journal.txt

journal.txt

this isn't my first journal entry, its a preface to that. its to provide a mood setting if you will. its a mood enhancer, its an aperitif, like Kir Royale or something. elegant, refreshing, spritzy. something one would drink in a velvety lounge somewhere listening to Bossa Nova or acid jazz. I wasn't writing for a bit b/c sometimes writers need to recalibrate, rejuvenate, and reintegrate themselves. they can, they ought, and they shall. all creatives need this, this detachment period, this 'finding myself in the wilderness' and having meaningful exchanges with squirrels, deer, rabbits, and local hood rats trying to make bus fare and presenting their meager change. sometimes one can, and does meet + engage with interesting characters. at least for myself, not sure bout you or others.  I'm not at all interesting much lately nowadays (was I ever? hard to tell). in only that I remain steadfastly uninteresting because (I don't like talking about it much) I'...

indieweb

indieweb

The funny thing about the IndieWeb is that it started with a genuinely good complaint. The web did get weird. It did get centralized. It did get swallowed by a handful of companies that turned what was once a messy collection of personal spaces into a handful of giant, sanitized platforms designed around keeping people endlessly scrolling. The idea that maybe people should own their own words, their own archives, and their own little piece of internet real estate is not some ridiculous nostalgia trip. It is a pretty reasonable reaction to what happened. The problem is that every good rebellion eventually develops its own culture, its own language, and eventually its own little hierarchy. The people who set out to escape the machine sometimes end up building a smaller machine with nicer typography and a more tasteful color palette. That is where the IndieWeb starts getting funny. Because there is a certain kind of personal website floating around that feels less like a persona...

nib #3: Crash "

nib #3: Crash "

"It's the sense of touch. In any real city, you walk, you know? You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We're always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that touch so much, that we crash into each other, just so we can feel something" this has to be some of the funniest shyiatttt evaaaa to grace screens writing wise. this film's old old by today's standard. and this particular quote by Don Cheadle was especially retarded. so, in order to feel actual human emotions we have to commit attempted vehicular manslaughter on perfect strangers? Yeah I'll feel something alright, like reaching into the glove compartment for my glock and pistol whipping your silly ass, huhuhuhuh.   seriously though it's amazing what gets passed in Hollywood as legit writing. it's as if the custodial engineering staff got their hands on a script, presented it as their own (with a few creative tweaks) and the director be like 'I ...

this isn't for you so much as for me, in case I'd forget, which I would if I didn't force my ass to sit down and write this for future reference.  this is a field guide to my website. I had to make this for a new class I took. I'm in this kinda secret society of personal instructors who side hustle teaching bored adults in the hood how to paint, draw, write, read books, or do computer shit that's like sorcery for mere mortals. I got canned from the art class because I was getting everybody too drunk, self included with all the good  🍷(some of the students sure did jump ship to join my salsa side hustle class).  so I decided to take my friend's web design course, which was boring but informative. boring because all fucken modern day 'design' is so predictive, over engineered, cookie cutter shit, and so is most of these fledgling communities of kids trying to remake the wild wild web of 1.0, today (and failing disastrously). I'll tell you exactly wh...

hello there friend, enemy, frenemy, stranger, nosy neighbor, hater, biter, wanker, or whatever term(s) of endearment you prescribe to. I'm here writing in my favorite editor of late, IAwriter . and I do use obsidian notes as well cause i like the linkage ability, feels like a big ass microcosm going on. well here we are once more, I've set up shop. I don't expect allot and neither should u. I'm just a drifter doing my drifting, that's all . I want no trouble! you could try but it might be in vain, just saying not spraying. hear me now + believe me l8tr. times are certainly strange in the fact that they're becoming more fucken boring. humanity is borg, and culture be borging. enslaved by tech, mentally incapacitated by a heavy, substantive lethargy thats coma inducing. people didn't know how to think, act, or behave b/c they were never taught to. like the scene where Neo first emerged and Morpheous had to insert a bunch of metal into his bod. he never ...
