been around the world and I I I I can't find my baby I don't know and I don't know why why she's gone away and I don't where she can be...my baby...but I'm gonna find her...
I see too many nerds who overtly g33kspeak, lovers of their own language + ideas, looking for adulation, props, and reactions from random people. sometimes I think, and I really do think they're just so full of hot steaming bullshyiatttttt that they themselves believe their own bull$hyiatttt. I see it in the art world, in certain writer's circles, design also (especially). it's the same ole shit: invent some shit, pimp it as being well thought out, hand crafted, whatever other bullshit you can think of. if we just look to the fake geniuses of rupi kaur, Attiticus, or Banksy we can see precisely what I'm talking about: fake ass genZ 'geniuses' who became internet famous. Banksy's a friggin master art world bullshitter. any legit graffiti artiste will be first to tell you that shit aint real. you don't just tag shit and annunciate it. he's selling fucken photoshop brushes applied to some piece of a city somewhere. to which I emphatically say: GTFO of my face with that shit. should put a tag in there 'designed with adobe illustrator' lolz. bet you his copies of adobe apps are even pirated!
remember organic before anybody knew wtf it even was? well, some bored ass city folk thought it would kick ass to tell farmers how to do their thing. now, farmers have to destroy crops in order to make enough to sell at market. imagine if farmers came and told you how to do your fucken job not doing shit all day but pretending to. everyone respects farmers, not mouthy urbanites who think they know any better.
now wherever I go, and usually its not social media I see wannabe underground, vaguely 1.0ish vibed sites trying so thirstily to be edgy. thing is it isn't aesthetic pixel perfection. we might not have had a ton of knowledge, skill, or wherewithal back in the heydaze of 1.0. and that's b/c: we didn't. nobody knew wtf to do. but we had grit, we had soul, and we didn't act like emotional retards of today who need to be addressed a certain way (and usually in therapy speak). we were infallible, real, crazy, stoopid, goofy, kookie, but that was the point. we weren't a brand, an influencer, or a famewhore. follower counts weren't the aspiration. we knew we had actual offline lives to attend. and that this was merely a creative outlet. if someone liked my shit, great. post a nice thing in the gbook y'allz. however, when you came to my su casa you got well fed. you felt like you knew enough of me, and not enough. you didn't have to have me 24/7 and if you did it was via a RSS feed. I might've triggered you or caused you some issues. and if I did well you'd craft a nice scathing haterade email unleashing on me, heh heh. even in that its honest at least. that's what was up. I could take it and laugh b/c well you weren't in my life, nor I in yours. go right ahead and dredge up some negative shade my way, nobody gives two shits! oh no, some internet persons are triggered by me. I hurt their feelings, made them feel emotions. thought crime of the century.
